Music That Matters: Top 50 Movie Symphonies (#45 Krypton Theme by John Williams)

Here we go again with yet another John Williams theme!! Everybody probably knows the main theme from Superman which we will see later on the countdown. But there also is another great piece of music from the classic 1978 movie as well. When Superman is sent to earth due to the destruction of Krypton, we hear this dynamic piece of music as Jor-El (Marlon Brando) speaks to his son. It's a very dramatic piece of music that also would work as a great entrance theme for a professional wrestler. The Krypton theme kind of sounds like the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey. I plan on blasting this tune on my iPod when my child is born because to me it seems like the perfect song to play when a child arrives to his parents.
